Investment platform Wholesale Investor has launched a new SaaS capital raising admin platform, dubbed CRIISP, which connects investors and founders.

CRIISP (Capital Raising Intelligent Investment Secondary Platform) is essentially a pitch event on your mobile phone – marketplace for founders and investors.

Wholesale Investor managing director Steve Torso said CRIISP is an end-to-end solution for raising capital, accessing investors, engaging in Q&As, managing and tracking investor interest, and operating investment deal room up to the point of completing a transaction and issuing share certificates.

“It puts founders and decision makers in the driving seat and provides transparency in the capital raise,” he said.

“Empowering the founder and removing success fees means we can play a role in growing the technologies of the future quicker, and to a greater scale. With founders paying the equivalent to a salary of a decent techie in success fees, stunting their scalability – CRIISP doesn’t just solve this problem, it kills it.”

Torso said they set out to remove friction from raising capital by digitising the process of getting a pitch in front of investors and spent 18 months working with prominent, investors and founders to create the software platform.

“Our belief is that if we can help founders, investors and industry participants save time, money and improve efficiency, the ecosystem wins,” he said.

“More than that, we noticed that as the ecosystem had grown, it had become more and more fragmented, which has made it substantially more difficult for investors and companies alike.”

CRIISP’s key features include a simplified documentation structure and storage, access to a  high net-worth investor marketplace, the ability to promote dealrooms to interest investors, investor activity tracking, question and answer features and direct messaging, the ability to issue share certificates, and multi-party digital signature completion.

Torso said that in the coming month he’ll announce partnerships with media, governments and other ecosystem contributors across Australia, Singapore, India and the UK as the CRIISP platform rolls out.

The platform will utilise Wholesale Investor’s existing infrastructure and offer access the company’s network of 21,500+ high-net-worth investors and professional investment groups.
