Mackay secures launch of first coworking hub Split Spaces, to become Queensland’s largest regional innovation hub

Mackay has secured its first coworking hub, Split Spaces and with just under 1,000 square meters of space is set to become Queensland’s largest regional innovation hub. Split Spaces is being supported by a Federal Government grant, Woollam’s Construction and Porters and is planning to open the space to entrepreneurs later this year.

Brisbane to get $5 million CBD innovation hub aimed at inspiring collaboration with industry and government

Brisbane will soon be home to a new $5 million innovation hub known as ‘The Capital’, located in the heart of the city’s CBD in order to inspire “creative collisions” with industry and government. Lord Mayor Graham Quirk announced that the hub, the need for which was outlined as an economic priority in the Brisbane 2022 New World City Action Plan in May, would “kick-start a ‘Clever Business District’ for Brisbane by immersing startups into the city’s corporate business precinct.”
