Security industry tech platform Guardhouse raised $850,000 in seed funding late last year as it prepared to launch in the UK market.

The Sydney startup, co-founded in 2018 by Julian Cartwright, Jack Alpe, Andrew Longworth and Keith Longworth aims to be an to be an all-in-one solution for security industry workforce management to improve workflow between scheduling, time and attendance, payroll and  invoicing.

Co-Jack Alpe said the Guardhouse system provides unique features such as incident reports, welfare checks and a tour and patrols functionality. It also ensures company compliance by working with each state licencing division and automating security licence checks.

“The way that security providers manage their workforce has been put under the spotlight in recent months and has helped fuel the increased demand for Guardhouse,” he said.

Alpe said the company has captured roughly 20% of Australia’s addressable market in 18 months to become the largest cloud-based solution in Australia.

The company will use the seed round to scale up their business model in Australia and drive the expansion into the UK.
