When Amazon Australia’s newest venture, Amazon Launchpad, a new store for startups and entrepreneurs to sell innovative products to local customers launched earlier this month, the company threw a party in Sydney to welcome the retailers.

Amazon Launchpad is essentially a store within the store, with retailers building custom product pages with the ability to tell their brand’s story. Amazon Australia assists with marketing support and access to Amazon’s local fulfilment network including Amazon Prime.

The store has more than 150 brands and more than 3000 products available, from beverages to fashion, children’s toys and skincare.

As part of the launch, mathematician and media personality Adam Spencer spoke to some of the brands involved, including Salty Gypsy, Nexba, Lyre’s, Marlowe and Soda Shades, who shared their stories on how Amazon Launchpad gave them the opportunity to find new customers and grow their businesses.

Startup Daily was at the Amazon Launchpad launch. Here are photos of the event.
