The Startup to Scaleup Summit is jam-packed with advice and insights into growing your startup

The Startup to Scaleup (S2S) Summit brings together hundreds of founders, investors and experts from the Australian tech ecosystem for a one-day conference at the Sydney Startup Hub, next Thursday, November 16.

The program spans all stages of the founder journey and features keynote speeches, panels and fireside chats from founders, investors, accelerators & incubators, universities, corporations, and government. There will also be a demo showcase of startups to see what they’re up to

More than 400 emerging and established business leaders will be part of the , with the day featuring keynote presentations, panel discussions, educational sessions, leadership development opportunities, and extensive networking prospects.

Tank Stream Labs CEO Bradley Delamare said a focal point of will be a pitch competition in partnership with Startup&Angels.

“The Australian startup ecosystem has been missing a large conference for the past 3 to 4 years. The vision of the S2S Summit is to bring this much-needed platform to the Australian startup and scaleup ecosystem,” he said.

“The summit provides a unique opportunity for both emerging and established business leaders to gain fresh insights, learn from industry pioneers, and forge vital connections across the entrepreneurial landscape.

The day will feature networking opportunities and the chance to connect with your peers in the ecosystem.

Bradley Delamare said TSL wanted to bring together to reconnect after the pandemic rewrote the rules on work “based on feedback we receive from founders with the whole hybrid working and founders feeling isolated at times”.

Education and insights

The Tank Stream Labs boss said they received similar feedback from founders education around issues such as culture, leadership and strategy.

Industry leaders will share valuable insights and strategies on a range of panels.

Rob Hango-Zada, cofounder of Shippit, Julie Mathers, CEO of Snuggle Hunny and founder of Flora and Fauna, and Julie Stevanja, cofounder of Wrapd and Stylerunner, will talk with moderator Luke Latham, from Airwallex about e-commerce insights and how to thrive in the digital retail space.

Marcus Zeltzer, cofounder at Yellow Canary, Angus Bean, CTO at DroneShield, Skye Theodorou, cofounder of upcover and moderator Markus Kahlbetzer, from Side Stage Ventures will discuss the Scaleup Journey: offering strategies for scaling businesses and navigating the challenges of growth.

“We also want to helping founders keep up to date with the latest trends and tech, so there are quite a few session on areas such as AI and generative AI, as well as climate and sustainability,” Delamare said.

Other highlights include the chance to visit the exclusive Investor Lounge and connect with VC and early-stage investors from the likes of Giant Leap, Flying Fox, Antler, Airtree and Investible.

Topics covered in the lounge include female funding, seed funding, scaleup funding, crowdfunding, and impact investing, as part of several panels on funding.

The Pitch Competition, in partnership with Startup&Angels, offers a $10,000 prize to the best idea presented to an expert panel of investors.

Tech Council of Australia CEO Kate Pounder is one of the keynote speakers with an address on the Australian technology landscape .

Other masterclasses will include ASX-listed Airtasker founder and CEO Tim Fung presenting The Journey to IPO: When Is the Right Time? and Ella Grier, ML Customer Engineer at Google Cloud presenting From Inspiration to Implementation: Practical Applications of Generative AI.
