Entries for the One Roof Startup Women of the Year awards close this weekend

Entries for the One Roof Startup Women of the Year Awards will close this Sunday, November 12, at midnight.

The awards, organised by One Roof, Sheree Rubinstein’s platform for entrepreneurial women, will honour the best and brightest across Australia, with the winner announced in Sydney on November 23.

“This competition is our game-changer to the traditional pitch events which favour a specific performative mould because we recognise that innovation isn’t limited to those with a flair for extroversion or stage presence,” she said

“If you’re a woman leading a startup, we want to hear from you. Applications are now open to enter for a chance to win a phenomenal prize pack valued at over $50,000.  This includes a whopping $10,000 in cash to propel your business forward.”

The top 10 finalists score a one-year membership at One Roof, valued at $500.

Alongside the cash, with winner will receive a range of assistance and support, including mentoring sessions with Tracey Warren from F5 Collective, scholarship places at Press Play, the Victorian startup program for women, and a scholarship to Scale’s FoundEd online education program and a 1:1 call with the investment team, plus a free marketing audit with Stella Startups

Four finalists will pitch to a panel of guest judges, including Doone Roisin from Female Startup Club, who also offered to lend their expertise to the next generation of women entrepreneurs.

Rubenstein said Startup Women of the Year is designed to be “the ultimate anti-pitch focused on the essence of startups: to address and solve significant global challenges”. Applications are open until 12 Nov to win a prize pack valued at over $50,000. The winner will be announced at our live event in Sydney on the 23 November which will showcase the brightest and best women founders across the entire nation.
