Sydney startup space Fishburners is throwing open its doors to host ‘affordable’ events

- June 18, 2019 < 1 MIN READ
Sydney CBD startup space Fishburners is offering itself up as event space promising to make venue affordable for functions.

The 500m2 space in the Sydney Startup Hub, adjacent to Wynyard Station, has capacity for up to 300 people

Fishburners CEO Nicole O’Brien said there was a shortage of quality, 200-plus venues in the city and their site was already being used by the likes of Google, Optus, Visa, and the Commonwealth Bank. The not-for-profit venture can cater for corporate functions, workshops, meetings, product launches or hackathons for between 12 and 300 people.

“If creative ideas and a cool community culture is the right vibe for your next event, this venue is a fantastic option – with a rich history of some of the buzziest startup brands in Australia having their roots within our community,” O’Brien said.

Along with a kitchen, private bar, in-house catering, a full suite of AV and presentation equipment, there’s both password protected Wifi and guest wifi services.
