Advance Queensland and Business Models Inc have partnered to design an innovation ecosystem for Regional Innovation Hubs. A total of $7.5 million has been raised to strengthen links, interaction and engagement across Queensland’s network of regional hubs.
Mackay has secured its first coworking hub, Split Spaces and with just under 1,000 square meters of space is set to become Queensland’s largest regional innovation hub. Split Spaces is being supported by a Federal Government grant, Woollam’s Construction and Porters and is planning to open the space to entrepreneurs later this year.
Fire Station 101 has opened as the new innovation hub in Ipswich. Formerly known as the Ipswich Fire Station the new hub will provide entrepreneurs with connections, tools and mentoring to help build the digital startup community in the regional area.
