SBE Australia CEO Nicole Cook said the 2022 Awards form part of SBE’s 10-year Impact Project which includes a landmark 10-year Impact Report currently being prepared by Deloitte Access Economics.

“The report will be a key piece of industry research that analyses progress of women-led entrepreneurial businesses in economic, social, financial and cultural terms,” she said.

The report will provide important insights on social, financial and cultural factors and the barriers that still exist and prevent womenʼs full and equal participation in entrepreneurship. The aim is to clearly highlight actions required over the next 10 years to accelerate change.”

SBE Australia has supported more than 200 national mid-stage graduates in its Evolve program and more 90 Global level companies who have successfully raised over $1 billion in capital, had two IPOS and nine exits since launching in Australia in 2012. SBE Australia takes no equity in the businesses it supports. Previous alum include the founders of companies such as Modibodi, Canva, OpenAgent, Thrivor, IntelligenceBank, Coviu, and LVLY.

“The 2022 Women with Impact Awards celebrate 10 years of ecosystem involvement along with highlighting the significant women-led businesses who have created impact in their respective markets and in the economy,” Cook said.

“We are looking forward to recognising those founders who have built innovative, impactful businesses, including the Unsung Hero who aren’t usually seen.”
