Applications for Startmate’s May Office Hours program are now open, offering more than 1,000 free mentor sessions with some of the biggest and best names in startup land.

The Office Hours program connects budding founders and entrepreneurs with successful leaders from companies including Canva, CultureAmp, Xero, Adore Beauty and Atlassian.

Each successful applicant will get linked up with a sector-appropriate mentor over a 30 minute 1:1 virtual session to discuss goals, troubleshoot ideas and lay down roadmaps forward.

Startmate CEO Michael Batko said the format gives future founders or those running an early stage startup a taste of the accelerator’s culture.

“Office Hours is probably our most important channel for developing future talent, and providing a glimpse into the kind of expertise and support we offer with our Fellowship and accelerator programs,” Batko said.

“Particularly now, when there are so many people looking to grow or diversify their experience to ensure future success, Office Hours provides a really valuable stepping stone towards the next level of your business.

Startmate’s Office Hours program runs twice a year, generated 1,170 mentor/founder conversations in 2019. This has grown from under 250 in 2017, when the program commenced. The mentors form part of Startmate’s broad mentor network, to which access is normally only through the bi-annual 12 week Accelerator program.

“Our diverse mentor network ranges from e-commerce to fintech to software and resourcing. There are virtually no limits on the scope of expertise at hand. If you have a bright idea and want to start your founder journey, it’s an ideal launch pad to help you along,”  Batko said.

The program is free and online only. You can apply here.
