Sydney-based portable computer screen startup espresso Displays has landed a major retail distribution deal with JB Hi-Fi stocking two of its products in more than 100 stores across Australia and New Zealand.

JB Hi-Fi is selling the espresso Display 15 touchscreen and espresso 17 Pro touchscreen ahead of the end of the financial year in the tech startup’s first major retail partnership. They retail for $749 and $1250 respectively.

Cofounder and CEO Will Scuderi said espresso Displays will continue to expand its range of ultra-lightweight monitors and software to meet the needs of mobile workers.

“JB Hi-Fi is an Australian retail icon trusted by so many households and people know they will get the best range of innovative tech to suit their needs,” he said.

“As one of few local tech brands making hardware, we now have the ability to reach more Australians and offer the opportunity to get their hands on our products – which is one of the most powerful ways to communicate how a premium portable display like ours can fit into someone’s life.”

espresso Displays was founded by Scuderi and his engineering friends, Scott McKeon, Gary Caldarola, and Fabian Maritato in Sydney in 2018. They set out to build portable touchscreen displays that could be powered directly from a laptop through a single USB-C cable and shipped their first product in 2019 with the launch of the world’s thinnest portable display.,

The monitors stocked at JB Hi-Fi are crafted from a single sheet of aluminium, offering design, durability and seamless touch functions for MacOS and Windows laptops.

JB Hi-Fi Australia MD Cameron Trainor said customers will be able to interact with the products using the touchscreen features to see why the displays are popular with business travellers, workers on the go and digital nomads.

“We’re delighted to partner with espresso Display as another example of JB Hi-Fi’s commitment to help our customers with the latest in consumer electronics and technology,” he said.
