Sydney-based digital health startup Andi Health has raised $600,000 in pre-seed funding.

The round was led by Melbourne VC Brenteca Investments. The cash is for Andi to build what it says is “the world’s first human health coach in your pocket”.

Andi’s subscription-based health management platform integrates a range of health devices and analytics, combining them with personal coaching for better health outcomes.

Founded by Akshin Goswami, David Corbineau, Gloria Yu, and Luke Grana in 2020. Grana, Andi’s CEO, was driven to build the platform when he was looking to improve his health, but couldn’t find a simple solution at an affordable price.

“After visiting my GP, I learned that I had high blood pressure and high cholesterol, which put me at risk of heart disease and diabetes. I tried wearables, activity trackers and worked with a health coach to get healthier,” he said.

“That’s when I realised how dispersed and expensive it was. Inspired to change this, I decided to build a better way and bring all three elements together, at an affordable price.”

Alongside accelerating product development for a 2023 launch date, Grana said Andi Health is also ramping up its local hiring plans.

His co-founder, Gloria Yu, Andi’s head of product said that in Australia, 80% of premature deaths are caused by chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, obesity and sleep disorders.

The program will give subscription members a simple way to track their stats: daily activity, sleep, recovery, blood pressure, body fat percentage, and then achieve their health goals with monthly sessions with a health coach.

“Today, you can track your health in endless ways. Knowing your health data is great, but most people don’t know what to do next,” she said.

“Connecting people with a health coach is what sets us apart. People now have a way to understand their health status and learn healthier habits that fit personal goals and circumstances. We have designed a platform that will change how health care is managed at home; I’m excited for people to experience our approach.”

Brenteca partner and COO Luke Horton said: “We see the clear opportunity that an integrated solution has to drive health outcomes and overcome the challenges of the current fragmented customer experience. Andi’s vision and offering has the potential to make meaningful progress and empower people to manage their health.”

The monthly subscription plans start at $40 and anyone in Australia, Hong Kong and the US, can access the six-month program today. Program enrolment begins from 1 May, 2022.
