The glamour and glory of the 2024 Startup Daily Best in Tech awards in photos

The second annual 2024 Startup Daily Best in Tech awards saw nearly 300 people in the Australia startup ecosystem come together and celebrate at Sydney’s Ivy Ballroom earlier this month.

The night, presented by AWS Startups, honoured 60 amazing finalists and 16 epic winners, from Startup of the Year Fortiro to Scaleup of the Year Deputy, Consultmed’s Dr Vikram Palit as Best New Founder, Curious Thing AI as the AI Gamechanger and Startmate as Startup Investor of the Year.

Keynote speaker Maria MacNamara spoke of her love for Australia’s entrepreneur, and the hopes and inspiration their successes bring, alongside a call for greater collaboration to help everyone achieve their potential.

He was previously associate editor of Business Insider Australia, a national restaurant critic, editor of The Good Food Guide, and newspaper proprietor during a 30-year career in journalism and publishing.

He's also an investor in early stage startups.

Simon chaired the environment committee of industry lobby group Australian Business Ltd's (now NSW Business Chamber) during the Kyoto agreement era, debating cow farts with mining execs.
