There’s plenty of startup action happening in the Sunshine State at the moment, and that’s on show this week at Something Tech.
The two-day festival, August 29-30, once again brings together Queensland’s tech and innovation community in their own unique way for “a saturation of expertise, community sharing, and networking”.
Festival cofounder Pauline Fetaui, from ACS Labs, said this year’s lineup looks like their best one yet.
And the grand finale is River Rival, where nine emerging tech companies will take the stage to pitch in front of a jam-packed crowd at Rivershed at Howard Smith Wharves.
As the beer starts flowing to kick off the festival’s after party, the audience will be treated to 5-minute pitches about the business and product our contestants are bringing to the world. They’ll be battling out the three award categories of Best in Product, People’s Choice, and Best of the Best.
A (mostly) incredible panel of judges will be on hand to grill the founders after their pitches.
So let’s meet the founders and their startups gracing the stage.
