Entries for the annual Australian Technologies Competition (ATC), which offers a $100,000 to the winner, close this weekend
The accelerator program is free to enter and run by ASX-listed investor and Scalare Partners.
Since its launch in 2010, more than 100 startups have been finalists in the ATC, with many having international success.
Last year 136 startups applied, leading to 37 finalists and 12 winners across the dozen categories, including Tank Stream Labs, Red Piranha, Violet and DremR Health.
The ATC offers the prize money as an investment.
Last year’s Disaster & Emergency Management Award winner, Inna Kazagrandi, CFO at Orisent, said the connections they made during the ATC helped succeed.
“Winning wasn’t just recognition — it opened international doors, built credibility with partners, and sharpened our story,” she said.
Scalare Partners CEO Carolyn Breeze, said the ATC gives the startups involved the chance to connect with investors, mentors, and industry experts, to help the grow and scale their business.
“Many of Australia’s founders have found it difficult to source sufficient capital and get the kind of mentorship, services, and access to the community they need in order to properly grow their startup and navigate regulatory frameworks,” she said.
“Even angel investors, who usually provide capital to early-stage startups, are becoming more prudent in their investments towards earlier stage companies.
“The ATC looks to bring this fragmented startup ecosystem together by not only giving the winner a cash injection of $100,000, but also providing its applicants with advice from mentors and industry experts on how to scale their business, along with gaining access to the wider investor community.”
Scalare Partners acquired the ATC in 2023 and last year listed on the ASX.
Entries close this Sunday, May 11, at midnight. For details and to apply, head to austechcomp.com
