Fancy winning US$1 million in the startup version of the Olympics?

Well, get your skates on because applications for Australian entries to the Startup World Cup close on Wednesday, July 31. Apply to pitch here (it costs $11).

Startup/Angels is hosting the Australian selection in partnership with US VC Pegasus Tech Ventures as part of Investor Week, coinciding with Spark Festival in September.

The local Startup World Cup event will be at the Stone & Chalk’s Sydney Collider on Thursday, September 5 at 3pm.

15 startups will be selected to pitch to the panel of judges that afternoon. The winner will represent Australia at the grand finals in San Francisco later this year with US$1 million (A$1.5m) in funding up for grabs.

If you’re get to get along, you can nab tickets from Humanitix here.

But if you’re get to enter your startup to pitch, get your application in by July 31.
