Sydney coworking community and service provider Tank Stream Labs has opened a new CBD office for dedicated to social impact companies, with support from ASX-listed jobs marketplace Airtasker.

The partnership means Tank Stream Labs can offer even more affordable office space to social impact companies making a positive impact in their communities, environment, and other social causes.

Tank Stream Labs CEO Bradley Delamare said the new coworking hub will be a great opportunity for companies to collaborate and network with like-minded individuals, while having access to the resources and support provided by Tank Stream Labs and Airtasker.

The Hub already has the support of a number of social enterprises including Taronga Conservation Society Australia through the HATCH program.

“There are more and more early stage businesses and early stage impact investors focusing on social causes such as the environment, healthcare, ethical AI/data etc,” Delamere said.

“Despite the growth in these companies, there are not many dedicated hubs focused purely to assist. Our partnership with Airtasker is a step towards building a stronger community and supporting social impact companies that are making a difference in the world.”

The space is at TSL’s social impact hub at 120 Sussex Street, Sydney.

The organisation also recently opened a new coworking site on level 17 at International Tower 3 at Barangaroo, and also has space at the Sydney Startup Hub on York Street as well as a scaleup hub at Tech Central.

Airtasker CEO and founder Tim Fung said his company is committed to making a positive impact in society by empowering social impact companies and supporting social causes.

This new partnership builds on our mission of empowering people to realise the full value of their skills, as we’re now providing a tool, in addition to our digital marketplace, which enables this empowerment further,” he said.

“Since Airtasker’s inception, we have helped to build strong and positive community ties between locals, and we’re confident this offering to social impact companies will allow them to continue strengthening this and drive a force for positive change.”

Airtasker is a long-term Tank Stream community member and one of the first startups to graduate from it. Back in 2017, Fung enlisted a group of Airtaskers to help fit out the Sydney Startup Hub location when it opened.

TSL is currently offering an EOFY deal of one month free on a 12 months sign up.
