Jobs interview platform Sapia.ai is opening up its machine learning models as part of a strategic API program, launching on AWS Marketplace.

The move will give companies around the world the ability to develop their own workplace-based AI applications, using the data insights Sapia.ai has gathered from more than four million job interviews involving 20 million questions.

Sapai.ai CEO Barb Hyman said it’s one of the largest enterprise access launches of an Australian-based AI platform.

“This move will give Australian organisations and many around the world the head start they need in getting ahead of the AI revolution in developing their own AI solutions,” she said.

“There is so much our AI technology can already do. It can identify candidate traits and aptitudes and also coach talent on skills they need to improve. But this is only the beginning.

“We’ve seen what open-access APIs have done for ChatGPT in transforming the way it’s been used by companies. We expect this move will be similarly transformative for organisations already testing the waters with their own AI applications.”

Hyman said the move compliments their Smart Interviewer platform.

“Companies that want to use our existing AI services to create their own tool will be able to,” she said.

“Otherwise, organisations will still be able to partner with us directly to leverage our Smart Interviewer technology to improve their hiring processes and diversity outcomes in their organisation.”

Sapia’s employment tech is used by leading Australian brands, including Qantas and Woolworths, as part of the recruitment process.

Hyman and her team have pioneered ethical AI in the interview process to improve diversity and cut out unconscious bias in candidate screening. The chat-based interviews platform not only improves recruitment times, it’s also preferred by women candidates.

The conversational, Natural Language Processing (NLP)-based chat AI interviews, assesses and screens for the best talent at scale, also generating insights for both candidates and hiring teams.

The Sapia.ai platform is now available in 10 languages.
