The University of New South Wales (UNSW) has opened applications for its Founders 10x Accelerator program.
The Founders 10x program, UNSW’s flagship startup accelerator program, is designed for high-potential, tech-enabled startups to help them become ‘investment ready’.
the program’s Director of Entrepreneurship, David Burt, said they were excited to see what ideas have emerged from the disruption of 2020.
“We’re looking to invest in high-quality startups that are ready to take the next step in their growth journey. The program has a tremendous track record for driving startups to the next level, to the point where they attract significant investor interest,” he said.
Founders 10x has supported 41 startups, including the “Uber for drones” Aerologix, stockbroking platform Pearler, and AI checkout tech Tiliter.
The program runs in two phases, with all teams accepted taking part in a 5-week 10x pre-accelerator, before six startups are chosen for the 10-week 10x accelerator. The final six also receive $20,000 in seed funding.
The program includes one on one meetings with Entrepreneur-in-residence, Trevor Folsom; tailored coaching and practical advice; networking and peer-to-peer support; building their business model; and pitching their startup to investors at the 10x Demo Night.
Applications close April 12. Details are available here.
