One of Australia’s most-loved startup festivals _SOUTHSTART has forged a strategic partnership with the Adelaide Economic Development Agency to launch a new accelerator program.
MASTERM!ND is a 5-month accelerator for up to 10 startups based in the South Australian capital.
_SOUTHSTART co-director Danielle Seymour said the accelerator builds on the organisation’s commitment to catalysing innovation and driving tangible change.
“While our annual festival has solidified its status as a flagship event, MASTERM!ND signals a strategic expansion of _SOUTHSTART’s influence beyond the confines of a calendar year” she said.
“We know that the growth needs of each startup is different. And while we can identify general areas of support that will be applicable for each founder, we are anticipating the delivery of a hyper-personalised program, working with each startup to connect them to a unique set of resources to achieve their personalised growth goals.”
Her co-director, Craig Swann, said MASTERM!ND will leverage the _SOUTHSTART talent network to respond directly to participant’s needs; growing alongside them, rather than having them follow a pre-designed curriculum.
“Through real-time tracking and insightful analysis, _SOUTHSTART will leverage MASTERMIND’s outcomes to inform future initiatives, thereby deepening our impact on Adelaide’s innovation ecosystem” he said.
The only catch to taking part is being an entrepreneur based in Adelaide’s CBD with an ambition to scale and a minimum of two years of operational history.
Swan said there’ll be a focus on diversity, innovation, and community impact, is choosing the founders to take part.
Applications for MASTERM!ND close on April 21. More details are available here.
