Upwork, the online marketplace for freelancers, has announced changes to its pricing model as it looks to grow its community in the face of increased competition from the likes of Freelancer.
Freelancer has appointed Kyri Theos, former Australia country manager at competitor Upwork, as its new regional director for Asia Pacific. Theos has been given the task of solidifying Freelancer’s position in Australia and guiding its expansion across the Asia Pacific region.
After a year of work behind the scenes, Elance-oDesk has relaunched as Upwork, with the company also launching a new platform that allows businesses to make hires within minutes.
