A busy week across the global tech space has seen a Chinese consortium may Opera a buyout bid of $1.2 billion, while Fuze, the startup formerly known as ThinkPhones, raised $112 million, and Student.com raised $60 million to expand its platform into new markets. Also this week, Microsoft confirmed its acquisition of music app Groove, Africa Internet Group raised $83 million, and UK money transfer startup WorldRemit raised $45 million.
