Sydney-founded home services marketplace UrbanYou has announced the acquisition of HomeHello, an on-demand marketplace for customers seeking domestic cleaning services, for an undisclosed fee.
UrbanYou has raised $1 million in a funding round led by existing investor Microequities Venture Capital, with participation from angel investor Arun Nair.

Founded by Mark Bernberg (Fiveplus and SkyFii), Adam Abrams and Julian Tobias (both behind The Island, C Coconut Water), WHIZZ lets users book a cleaning professional trained in five-star hotel cleaning in four taps. The booking process is said to be 60 seconds long and an experienced cleaner is confirmed to clean on-demand or for a later date.

UrbanOutsource is the latest on-demand service to join the lucrative multi-billion dollar tasking sector. Whether it is entering an already crowded market with competitors such as Airtasker and OneFlare is still to be seen.
