Before we get to the good stuff, we wanted to offer context which underscores just how much of an achievement it is to make this shortlist. This year there was a massive 237 entries for the Finnie Awards across all 18 categories (not including Biggest Raise of the Year). That’s 30 per cent more than last year.
Of those categories, Emerging Fintech Organisation and Fintech Organisation of The Year award received the most entries.
All 49 judges have had an incredibly tough time selecting the list of finalists. I frequently heard compliments about the calibre of entries. “How am I supposed to decide” became a bit of a catchphrase.
So, if you have made the list, congratulations. It’s a huge milestone for you and your business and we wish you all the best of luck in taking home the prize on June 6.
If you haven’t made the list, don’t be disheartened.
As I mentioned, the competition this year was incredibly tough. We would encourage you to apply again next year. While some key awards stay the same, we review the categories every year to ensure they are relevant to our changing industry. A new or altered category may better favour your business.
With that aside, we’re pleased to announce this year’s finalists for FinTech Australia’s annual Finnies awards.
