A startup founder pitches to investors at the Brisbane RiverPitch Live back in 2018.
RiverPitch Live, the investment showcase for startups run by ACS Labs, the operator of Brisbane’s River City Labs, returns to the stage this Thursday, November 25, after a two-year hiatus.

As well as a live event at Lightspace, Brisbane, from 6pm – it’s already sold out – you can also join in online. Book free tickets here.

River City Labs General Manager Pauline Fetaui said RiverPitch aims to provide a different approach to capital funding and de-formalise the search for backers.

‘After a challenging two years in a new world, we are thrilled to bring back RiverPitch,” she said.

“We are looking forward to bringing back a successful event that connects the Tech Innovation ecosystem and supports stellar Startups and Investors connect for exponential growth, not only in person but online.”

The event consists of up to 10 five-minute pitches from tech startups seeking Seed to Series A funding. The startups taking part range from cybersecurity, to IT management AI, wellbeing, proptech, fintech, creative and medtech.

Among the investors is the founder of River City Labs, Steve Baxter, now of syndicated VC Ten13. RCL has been owned and operated by ACS since 2019.

Since it launched in 2012 more than 700 entrepreneurs have called RCL home, with its alumni including Audeara, the ‘world’s first full fidelity headphones, designed by doctors and engineers’; SiteSee, which uses drone footage and artificial intelligence to map, manage and analyse critical infrastructure projects; and Weploy, a digital platform that algorithmically matches jobs with pre-vetted candidates on demand.

Tickets for RiverPitch Live 2021 can be purchased via Eventbrite here.
