Jane Lu’s fashion startup, Showpo, is crowned the queen of online retail once again

Fashion retailer Showpo has once again dominated the annual Online Retail Industry Awards (ORIAS) scooping up three awards including a coveted ‘Hall of Fame’ gong at the event in Sydney.

It is not the first time the iconic retailer has scored accolades. In 2018 the company and its irrepressible founder Jane Lu picked up four awards for online retailer of the year, the best international conqueror, best site optimisation and design, and best social commerce initiative.

This year Lu’s thriving online business scored the top honour for the Best Pureplay Retailer as well as Technology Champion.

More than 1000 guests came together at the ORIAS to celebrate the achievements of Australia’s online retailers, acknowledging the commitment to excellence of the nation’s top e-commerce businesses.

As well as a slew of peer-awarded accolades, the ORIAS also include two People’s Choice Awards for Best Large Retailer and Best Small Retailer, sponsored by Australia Post.

Australia Post Executive General Manager, Business and Government, Gary Starr said Australia Post is proud to once again acknowledge and support Australia’s eCommerce market leaders.

“These awards provide a platform for hardworking Australian online retailers to be acknowledged and we congratulate the ORIAS winners for their success. Australia Post supports online business, large and small, and we will continue to help them deliver outstanding customer service.”

Event Director Matt Smith described the ORIAS as a testament to the innovation and dedication of Australia’s retailers.

“The ORIAS celebrate the retailing innovators that set new standards of excellence for both online and in-store; be that through innovation, expansion, or customer experience.

“The judges were tasked with the challenging job of crowning the winners, with each nominee having achieved remarkable feats in their respective categories. We commend each winner and celebrate their success as an industry.”
