The roundtable series, presented by Techboard and RSM, will be held at Freelancer’s HQ at World Square, next Tuesday, August 6, 5-8pm.
Techboard co-founder Peter van Bruchem said he designed the roundtables to be a twist on a panel session, with the group discussing funding, informed by Techboard’s data, with the audience also asking questions.
He said the conversation will explore issues and trends in startup funding, including those identified by Techboard in its funding reports and share insights from the panelists own experience.
“We have been tracking startup and tech funding across Australia for almost two years, even longer in WA, and are leading up to our second annual Australian Startup and Young Tech Company Funding Report,” van Bruchem said.
“Our data is feeding into the national discourse on startups, with inclusion in critical publications like StartupAus’ Crossroads report. Through our work we can pick up and highlight trends and our Techboard Roundtables are a way we can explore these trends and add to the discourse, raising the profile of the importance of funding Startups and Tech in this country.”
The panel for the Sydney roundtable will feature Allium Capital’s Rajeev Gupta, River/Harbour City Labs boss Peta Ellis, Emily Rich from M8Ventures, Equitise’s Jonny Wilkinson, David Weir from Radium Capital, Todd Forest of NAB Ventures, Lynda Coker of Scale Investors, Andrea Gardiner of Jelix Ventures and Techboard’s Rafael Kimberley-Bowen a member of Perth Angels.
The discussion will be facilitated by Jessica Olivier of RSM and van Bruchem.
Tickets are $25 or free for founders and students.
