Today at WWDC14, Apple announced a couple of really awesome features for OS X Yosemite, the upcoming version of OS X for the Mac. Users will be able to share emails whilst in progress, as well as current and recently-visited web pages and other pieces of content between their iOS and OS X devices.

Among the flattening of various icons and the additions of the Today view for Notification Center, Apple announced the ability to synchronise an iPhone to a Mac to receive calls and texts using new features Handoff and Continuity.

Yes people! That means that the Messages app, in addition to facilitating iMessages between Apple devices, can now make and receive phone calls and regular text messages. Your Mac can become a speaker phone for an iPhone, and can receive or initiate calls.
