When Rose Powell announced her departure from StartupSmart earlier this year, our ecosystem lost a great journalist who had cemented herself as a known personality very quickly amongst startups not just in Melbourne but across various cities around Australia.
Powell has since moved into a role with Fairfax at The Sydney Morning Herald; and somehow I don’t think it will be the last we hear or see from her when it comes to covering innovators and technologists.
With the announcement of Bronwen Clune as the new Editor of StartupSmart recently, the startup media space has started to really up its game. It’s exciting to see such a range of strong news coverage, opinions, investigations and videos coming out of the publications covering the ecosystem.
This week StartupSmart announced the appointment of Kye White, a recent graduate of RMIT, to the team. White has written for publications such as The Guardian and The Advocate across a variety of subject matters.
It’s certainly an exciting time to be involved in the startup space. What’s more exciting is that we are all only getting started.
