Up for grabs: $5000 business grant and mentorship programme for women entrepreneurs

Forming Circles, an Australian organisation committed to providing opportunities for Australians in areas of small business, education, arts, innovation, and charitable projects, has announced a new initiative to help women entrepreneurs grow their business. Winning applicants of the Kickstart Your Business initiative will receive a $5,000 business grant and will have the opportunity to learn from some of our leading women entrepreneurs.

Kickstart You Business can be seen as a mini-accelerator programme designed expressly for women – regardless of what business stage they’re in. Australian women who are starting a business, expanding or looking for an injection of funds, are invited to apply now – as long as they have a registered Australian business.

The mentoring programme will be led by four experienced entrepreneurs – including Kim McGuinness (MD of Network Central), Janine Garner (CEO of Little Black Dress Group), Melissa Browne (CEO of Accounting & Taxation Advantage), and Lee Ussher (Co-Founder Buzz Media Web). They will address all major areas of running a scalable business – such as marketing, social media, personal branding, networking strategy and accounting.

The winning applicant will have demonstrated how they can benefit from the grant, and how they will grow after graduating from the programme.

Applications are open now and closes on the 12th of March 2014.
