As part of our partnership with UTS, David Band – a serial investor and entrepreneur – offers a practical workshop that will take you through a hands-on approach to building a convincing business model that will increase your chances of getting an investor’s attention.
This class will provide you with: An understanding of the importance of a milestone-based business plan; defensible numbers; direct evidence of customer traction; being clear about your business model and your basis of competition; being objective about your competitors.

Who is David Band?
A seasoned entrepreneur, chairman and educator. Expelled from kindy for fighting, he has been at it ever since. He served time at PA Consulting where he learnt how to sell, service clients, execute to deadlines and milestones. He morphed these disciplines into company turnaround and made more money on the exit of his first deal than he had in 20 years as a senior partner. He has repeated this equation several times, also finding time to consult to Boards and as Chair of several life science ventures. And he’s made his peace with education – he gives back by helping students and founders at UTS accelerate their venture growth.
