Sydney’s most innovative technology companies, coworking spaces and incubators are opening their doors for the community to get an exclusive glimpse of what happens behind the scenes.
On Tuesday 24, September, Startup Walkabout Sydney will bring together the city’s brightest entrepreneurs, investors and advisors to run a workshop or event focusing on an aspect of startup life.
“Startup Walkabout Sydney will give you a great overview of the key places and people that make up the Sydney startup community,” says Zach Kitschke, Startup Walkabout organiser.
“It’s the first time such an event has been run in Sydney, and follows the lead of similar events in New York and San Francisco.”
During the day there will be sessions held at Google, RedBalloon, BlueChilli, HUB Sydney, Pollenizer, ATP, Fishburners and Canva.
People are invited to join Startup Walkabout for the full-day, or pick and choose the sessions they’d like to attend.
Startup Walkabout is one of many events happening as part of the three-week Startup Spring festival being coordinated by #StartupAUS, a community-driven group representing Australian technology startups.
“The Sydney startup scene has really come of age in the past few years, and what better way to demonstrate that than opening our doors to the community. We’d love to hear from anyone else who’s keen to organise an event or workshop during the day,” says Kitschke.
