After falling head-over-runway-heels in love with Flixel’s ‘Living Photos’, supermodel and businesswoman Tyra Banks decided to invest in the Canadian company through her brand capital, Fierce Capital, LLC.
Flixel Cinamagraph adds an element of motion to an otherwise still image – introducing the latest evolution in the art of photography into the app-space.
As Flixel’s CEO, Phillipe LeBlanc says “cinemagraphs combine the best of both worlds – the timeless quality of photography and the captivating aspects of video”.
Whether it’s sexy hair blowing in the wind or fabric flowing from a gown, Flixel “Living Photos” add an exciting new dimension to pictures.
“I introduced my team to Flixel in the middle of a meeting and it completely derailed the agenda,” says Banks.
“At one point, I lost control of the meeting because my team just had to see more!”
The technology is not only attracting professional photographers, videographers and graphic designers, but also the general public. The speed and simplicity of the creative process is set to bring the underrated artform into the public’s radar.
