A new initiative for female tech founders

There are many female only networking groups and membership organisations supporting entrepreneurs in the startup space right now, but one of the bigger gaps that I have seen for a while is some kind of body targeted towards females exclusively in technology ventures, being run by females in the technology space, that not only “get” technology but also know how to code and direct work flow properly when it comes to building the features and making code turn into something usable, investable and profitable.

Startup with Style is a brand new initiative by female tech entrepreneurs for female tech entrepreneurs, that are setting themselves a mission to create an eco-system in which female entrepreneurs in tech startups are able to connect, inspire and mentor each other from idea to investment. This is not a networking group at all but from what I gather from looks at the initial plans, all members of the initiative will go through an A-Z process from understanding the tech startup scene to building a tech startup from scratch and approaching investors.

Founded by Christie Sharpe, the founder of Fancied a mobile dating app and Katrin Suess founder and CTO of video for business platform Vimily between them the pair have a broad portfolio of knowledge to share and connections to bring on board.

I am looking forward to attending the first all female startup weekend! If you are a female founder and you’re looking for support and funding, you can sign up at startupwithstyle.com
