- October 16, 2012 < 1 MIN READ

Tuesday, October 16, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (EDT)

Abbotsford, VIC

Applications for Startmate 2013 are currently open but you may have questions.

Come along to our Q&A night in Melbourne next Tuesday, October 16th at 6pm and speak with Startmate co-founder Niki Scevak and Alan Downie and Matt Milosavljevic, the founders of Bugherd, a Startmate season 1 company. Get a better understanding of the program, discuss your application and find out what is good and bad about Startmate.

“Before Startmate we were just another couple of  developers working out of our respective bedrooms wondering why we’d never hit the big time. It didn’t take long to realise that there is far more to building a startup than just building an app. Startmate wasn’t only a great exercise in terms of forcing focus on what really matters in creating a business, but was also a great lead into the scary side of the startup world: pitching, VCs and raising capital. I have no doubt that without Startmate BugHerd would still be a 2-guy hobby project instead of the rapidly growing business that it is today. Most importantly, we now have a network of friends and mentors (here and in the US) who continue to provide immense value long after the program has finished.”

Alan Downie, Co-Founder Bugherd
