Hey Everyone,

Today we are talking about Sales. Whether you like them or not – unless people are buying stuff from you – your business will not survive for very long. In fact I would argue that Sales is one of the top three critical points that ALL businesses need to make sure they have in place if they are going to have longevity at all.

Sales are Hard

Wrong! – Sales are easy IF you know what you are selling. If you don’t then yes it will be hard and  you won’t be able to sell it. Sales is purely a numbers game, it all comes down to activity, which is why I am such a fan of the phone. Canvassing and Cold Calling is a skill i believe that ALL sales staff should do every week – the more people you call the more prospects you have to close. It’s a numbers game, based on effort.

Stop Talking, Start Listening

Sales is about listening out for “triggers” it is not about Vomiting out a sales pitch. Ask good questions – people will answer them, listen to their responses and hear what they are “really” saying to you. If you match your solution with their problem – people will buy your product and service. Simple.

Now pick up the phone and start calling some potential customers.
