How Hark became the Number 1 Pop Culture Soundbite Platform

US based website Hark is a bit out of startup mode and is now celebrating its new title as the world’s #1 platform for pop culture sound bites. More than 80 million monthly visitors use Hark to search for groundbreaking sound clips from movies and interviews that you just HAVE to hear again

In June of this year the company announced it’s partnership with Universal Partnerships & Licensing for licensed promotional audio content. This marks another in a long line of partnerships with production companies that have made Hark the dominant player in the market.

“We couldn’t be more excited about this partnership with Universal and all of the great content that it brings to the millions of people who visit Hark daily,” said Hark CEO David Aronchick. “Some of the entertainment industry’s most memorable moments are part of Universal’s library, and this partnership will enable people to easily access, enjoy and share them.”

Hark’s millions of sound bites and other content offerings go far beyond its website. The platform provides users with the ability to share content through social media sites (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Tumblr), send it directly to mobile devices, and embedded players in websites or blogs. Additionally, people have the ability to upload their own clips and share them with friends and family.

A true guilty pleasure for consumers and an advertisers dream, with the sheer volume of engaged users their each month. Hark also allow users to purchase ringtones of their audio clips.
