A New Smarter Breed of Business

Put yourself in this scenario

You’re standing at the top of a mountain, with a brand new snowboard attached to your feet. The air is crisp and your nose a little numb, but you don’t mind, because you’re on top of the world.

Before you tilt your board downwards and get your dose of adrenaline for the day you stop to think about what’s happening with your business on the other side of the world.

Currently, your business is doing not much. Because you’ve done all the hard legwork already. You built a framework for your business which means that operations of the business is literally one day per month. Even that one day you don’t do anything anymore except log onto online banking to see how much money you’ve made.

Is this reality possible? I’ve been led to believe that it is. For the past 2 years I’ve let the world know my mind is open to receive all incoming messages that go along the lines of: “You can live the lifestyle you most desire”.

Once your mind is open to this media you’ll find no shortage of what is essentially crap. No offense to those who are into the snake oil offerings out there but I’m a big believer in creating true, sustainable businesses which provide real value to people. My research has returned the suggestion as well that businesses truly can follow a minimalist approach. Why should that excite you? Because it means you don’t really have to have your bum glued to a chair from 8.30 – 5 every single day.

If you are one who finds solace and happiness in that kind rigid life, this blog is not for you and I invite you to press backspace before I offend you further.

Now, this imagined scenario that I have laid out to you. Is it something that I have attained? LOL PFFT NO. However, it is something that I am 35% of the way there.

It’s not too smart to let out the exact niche that I have selected and all the details but I do want to share the clues which will let you come to your own conclusions.

First, check out www.dollarshaveclub.com and watch their amazing 1:30 YouTube video. Then explore their website and business model. Ask yourselves these questions; what is their business model? How tech heavy is their business? What are the advantages and disadvantages of their business model? Take a guess at their expenses, start up time, operations, etc.
