A team of University of New South Wales students have been chosen to attend the finals of the LES Foundation competition; a prestigious competition globally. The Licensing Executives Socity [LES] aims to educate people around the world about intellectual property licensing.
Team Pluvision – have made the finals of the competition from the new and innovative solution they have come up with to treat dry eyes. This awesome accolade comes not long after Team Pluvision recently placed 2nd in the Swedish Idea to Product competition and their win in the Peter Farrell Cup Entrepreneurship Competition, hosted by the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) at the Australian School of Business.
The young groups business plan aims to commercialise intellectual property for the development of new eye drops to treat dry eye syndrome. The treatment is based on the PhD research of team member Eric Wei. According to Pluvision, there is currently no effective treatment for this syndrome on the market.
They will compete in the LES finals on May 14, 2012 and to attend the LES (USA & Canada) Spring Meeting in Boston.
