BlueChilli’s latest upcoming launch is a revolutionary new web startup which enables emerging musicians to book gigs with a guaranteed audience.
GiggedIN enables artists, agents and promoters to pre-sell and get their fans to pledge to buy tickets, but only commit to gigging once a minimum number of tickets are sold.
“I came up with the idea for GiggedIN when I realised that there are too many talented musicians out there that struggle to reach an audience that will appreciate them” says founder Edwin Onngo.
GiggedIN will support up and coming bands by providing a risk free way to tour and reach new fans. Similar to Kickstarter for live music or crowdsourcing for concerts, GiggedIN is set to change the way music events are booked, making weak crowds a thing of the past.
GiggedIN is founded by Edwin Onggo, a digital media executive with a passion for music with the support of investment and technology resources from BlueChilli. “A huge problem artists face is that venues often are not willing to take the risk of giving them a chance. I was inspired by the whole crowdsourcing model and GiggedIN was born because I wanted to create a solution by making gigs happen where people actually turn up.”
