Four successful young entrepreneurs will engage in an interactive panel discussion to show how they have tackled these challenges and transformed obstacles into opportunities.
Each of the panellists won acclaim for their entrepreneurial ability as winner or finalist in the Telstra Business or Business Women’s Awards.
Nathan Dale – Winner 2010 NSW Business of the Year
In 2007, at just 23 years of age Nathan Dale launched Intact a commercial property service company that now has blue chip companies such as the Commonwealth Bank, Colliers international and CB Richard Ellis, as valued clients.
Dwayne Martens – Finalist 2011 NSW MYOB Small Business Awards
In 2008 Dwayne Martens began as a sole trader at a Perth market, selling acai berries. Today his Amazonia products are sold in supermarkets across Australia and he has a staff of 13 employees.
Jo Heighway – Winner 2011 NSW marie claire Young Business Woman
At just 27 years, Jo Heighway started her own business auditing self managed super funds. Now with over 3,000 clients, she has just rebranded her business to ‘Engage Super Audits’ and is set for further expansion.
Leanne Scanes – Finalist 2011 marie claire Young Business Woman
At age 22, Leanne Scanes co-founded Corporate Bodies International (CBI) to deliver workplace health programs to workers in a single coal mine. Since then she has delivered health and well-being programs to some 500,000 employees across more than 500 organisations in Australia.
Supported by Telstra Business, the Essential Young Entrepreneurs Growth Event will showcase the ‘know how’ using real life examples you need to grow a thriving business.
