Small Business September Event

- August 9, 2011 < 1 MIN READ

Small Business September is proud to profile two female business owners who are achieving international success by manufacturing products to both domestic and global consumers. Purveyors of high-end fashion goods will get a free insight into how two innovators of e-commerce have used the web to transform their businesses at this special Women in Business event.

Jodie Fox, co-founder of online shoe design website Shoes of Prey, and Lucie Trinco, founder of fashion handbag company Il Tutto, will share their experiences on how social media and digital technology have revolutionised the publicity of their luxury fashion companies both locally and globally.

The two guest presenters at the “Glamour, global and growth” seminar will focus on how small business brands can leverage their exposure via social media and e-commerce to profit from these online marketing strategies.

Ms Fox will showcase her passion for brand etiquette in social media and her drive to find more relevant ways of making customer connections.  In Ms Trinco’s presentation, businesses will discover how finding a niche product can set you apart and how to embrace multi-levels of retailing for success. Networking is an integral part of the success to the Women In Business Mentoring Program offered by NSW Trade & Investment.  As such, a casual networking opportunity for ‘fashionistas’ to access peer-to-peer insights will be provided.

Places are limited so register early for the “Glamour, global and growth” seminar on 14 September from 11am to 2pm, at Level 47, NSW Trade & Investment Centre, MLC Centre, 19 Martin Place, Sydney.
