After surviving a stroke following the birth of her second child at the age of just 36, Anna Lewis walked away from her professional career and established www.flossymoo.com.au a wholesale business distributing babies and children’s products designed by other parents from around the world.
The type of stroke that Anna suffered occurs within the brain and carries a 40-50% mortality rate. Of those who survive this type of stroke, fewer thantwenty per cent of patients recover with no residual symptoms. Anna was able to make a full recovery. This was key in the decision to walk away from her high pressure career and she set about sourcing products that would make parenting easier.
Flossy Moo was launched in July 2010. It has just taken on the award winning Content and Calm range from the UK, which is designed by UK mother Solvej Biddle – who braved the popular BBC series Dragon’s Den with the product.
