In early November 2010, Brandon Cowan and Hilton Rosenfeld co-founded what is now one of Australia’s most well-known app development Companies, Crazy Dog Apps. At a young age Brandon was strategic about gaining publicity for the company and built some very strong media relationships.
In December 2010, I came up with an idea that would save lives. I wanted to create a national database of all homeless pets in animal shelters throughout Australia. I wanted to do it for free, otherwise I would just be ‘selling a service’ which was far from my goal. Saving even one life is worth more than any amount of money can buy. You simply cannot put a price on a service [or app] that saves lives so I decided not to.
Brandon Cowan has made a couple of the most downloaded apps in Australia, the two that he is most well known for are a parking app and the Pet Rescue app, both which got him extensive media coverage at the age of 17. His new venture however is something that could potentially put him out of business
