Sydney startup Hireup, an online platform looking to change the way Australians with a disability find, hire, and manage their home care and support workers, has come out in first place in this year’s Deloitte Technology Fast 50 list, with zipMoney and Zero Latency rounding out the top three.

Founded by brother and sister duo Jordan and Laura O’Reilly in 2014, the Hireup community has grown to more than 18,000 people across Australia, with 5,000 connections made between people with disability and support workers.

According to Deloitte, the company has seen 7,713 percent growth over a three year period, ahead of zipMoney’s 4,012 percent growth, and Zero Latency’s growth of 3,611 percent across the last three years.

Jordan O’Reilly said he was excited by the recognition the award brings to purpose-led organisations and the potential they have to bring about positive change at scale.

“As a for-purpose business, we’re amazed and excited by the recognition this award brings to purpose-led organisations and the potential they have to bring about positive change at scale,” he said.

“We’re incredibly proud to be collecting this award on behalf of our community of people with disability, their families and their support workers. It is an exciting reflection of the widespread appetite for person-centered designs and innovation within our sector.

“I’m proud that Hireup is growing and leading vital change in the disability sector. Our growth is testament to the loyalty and support of our users, our team, and our community. By harnessing technology, Hireup puts its users in full control of their own support relationships, and their shared experiences and challenges have motivated us to continue innovating.”

Open to companies with operating revenues greater than $50 million, sportstech company Catapult took out the Leadership Award, while Code Camp was named winner of the Rising Star Award, a category open to companies that have been trading for less than three years, with growth of 5,697 percent.

Josh Tanchel, Tech Fast 50 lead partner, said this year’s top 50 have the highest average growth rate Deloitte has ever seen, at 664 percent.

“This is the first time that we have seen a purpose-led organisation win the Tech Fast 50, but it perhaps shouldn’t be a surprise. A strong customer focus is fundamental to growth and principled leaders who want to make an impact that matters can fuel innovation and growth from the top down,” he said.
