Local community venues have been given a boost in their fundraising efforts this month with the launch of a new website to market and advertise their halls.
“This website brings together what I know from corporate events with my understanding of communityorganizations. As an event manager people are always asking advice on affordable venues and as an active memberof my local community, I know that we could really do with the extra dollars that come from renting out a hall.
“This website provides a simple platform to list and search for appropriate spaces while bringing in much neededrevenue back into community groups” said Deborah Langley, website creator. Halls for Hire is a comprehensive directory of community halls and venues across Australia. It gives communities aplace to list their hall, and users a place to find an affordable and local hall in just a few clicks.
The website was launched nationally in July and already over 100 halls have listed their details with more venuesbeing added daily. “We now invite members of the public to search for appropriate venues for business meetings,private parties, children’s play groups, weddings, performances, adult classes and all big and small of events.
